Happy Mother’s Day to all the moms out there! We all love our moms and the mothers of our respective children and fur-children, but maybe not as much as some baseball players love their moms based on their Mother’s Day performances. 

We discuss the Cardinals throwing Willson Contreras under the bus and the No-Win situation Contreras is in trying to follow up future Hall of Famer Yadier Molina. All is not lost as the Cardinals have proven talent ready at AAA if they ever get the call. Can someone check to make sure someone didn’t trip over the phone line? Not only do the Cardinals have young guys ready, all of the NL Central is looking pretty good for the future.

We saw (maybe?) the first pimp job from a fielder on a ground ball and discuss how we feel about that and some unwritten rules. Pencil a couple of us in as managers in the No-Fun League. 

We wrap it up with our weekend predictions and continue to do a perfectly average job of acting like we know what we’re talking about.
