"I grew up in the outdoors, on a farm in upstate NY. We never had much money growing up, but my dad made sure we were always "doing" something. Camping, hiking, skiing, golfing, boating .. you name it. We used to camp up on an island in the Adirondacks for weeks at a time. God bless him for taking 3 little girls out on an island with no bathroom lol. We got up at 5am to go fishing every morning with him. We never caught a thing, but that wasn't the point. He didn't give us video games or phones, he gave us things we would take with us the rest of our lives and an appreciation for the world around us and everything we have.
