Do you want to take care of your body and mind, but find it hard to prioritize yourself?

It’s not easy for mothers to find time to properly care for themselves, and at times it can be hard to get out of survival mode. That’s why it will be great to learn from experts like Lisa Westhorpe, a mother and occupational therapist. She spent years working with children and the elderly, and found her career very rewarding. But, when she became a mother, she was startled to find very little support and information to help her adjust to her new role.

Can you relate to the lack of support and how that affected you? Lisa found it hard to take care of her body and mind because no one prepared her for this transition into motherhood. She didn't realize that she needed more instruction and information to successfully manage postpartum recovery or how to support the new demands placed on her body. Despite her background as an occupational therapist, she developed an injury while caring for her new baby from repetitious movements. But, Lisa turned something difficult around. These experiences compelled her to seek further education and training in maternal healthcare, led her in a new direction in her career, and inspired a passion for supporting new mothers!

Listen to this new podcast episode to hear about Lisa’s incredible mom and baby playgroups and her new course that teaches other occupational therapists to support mothers worldwide. Learn tips on self-care AND how to safely return to physical activity. She is a great resource for mom-hacks and simple self-care tips.
