Today, I’d like to welcome to the network connections podcast one of our members, Ron Rapetti from Nerd Man. Welcome Ron.Ron: Good morning everyone and Jürgen.Jürgen: Great to have you on the podcast. Now, Ron’s tagline is “never fear, Nerd man is here.” We’re going to learn all about that today, but before we do, I’d like to make sure that everyone listening to the podcast knows that they’re very welcome to come along to our BNI group live meetings and get to know personally our group of highly professional fantastically motivated and passionate business owners who are committed not to only building their own success and the success of the other members of the chapter, but also to the success of their industry and the profile of their industry that they are in.Now, Ron, I wanted to ask you a few questions so that people listening to the podcast can get a better idea of who you are as a person and learn about your business, and of course, those watching can see you here and everyone can get a feeling of how you develop your business, what you love about it and what service you provide.Ron: Not a problem. Shoot.Jürgen: Okay, before we get started on and before we turn to all things nerdy and geeky and so on, let’s find out a little bit more about you, your background. When you were a young child, what did you want to be when you grow up?Ron: A pilot.Jürgen: A pilot? Another one - that’s a popular answer.Ron: I collected all the magazines out there with all the airplanes and all that. Then I learned that people with glasses can’t be pilots.Jürgen: Oh, okay.Ron: I went to tech school. I didn’t go to high school. We did trade subjects and one of the things that happened in Year 8, I actually was kicked out of class in Math. Not for being bad, but being too nerdy. It was a self-paced learning program in mathematics at this particular tech school. Me and my mate basically were faster than the teachers creating the actual booklets. They said, “we can’t keep up with you two. Go do something else.
