Listen Later

SHOW NOTES

Today, we are discussing your #1 ally on your path to progress that you avoid like the plague -- Truth

Problem: You are a liar. You lie to others. You lie to yourself. And your lies keep you from finding your path.

  • Lying to yourself creates fantasy
  • Lying to others makes you a poser
  • Fantasy is quicksand on your path
  • Lies require memory
  • Possibility: You understand the power of truth and how it is the only foundation on which you can build your path and purpose.

    • Truth creates real facts from which you can build
    • Truth creates power with others
    • Truth is bedrock
    • Truth requires no memory
    • Mindsets:

      • Truth = Facts
      • Truth + Emotion = Fantasy
      • Truth gives you stepping stones
      • There is no guilt or shame in truth
      • Skillsets:

        • Shave the emotion from the truth
        • Have truth drive your action
        • See the emotion in things others say
        • Set your action to address your truth, not your emotions

        • MAKE IT STICK

Get yourself in a place that is quiet and peaceful. Clear your mind and relax. This is a meditative state

When you are in this meditative state, think of the answer to this question: What is the #1 lie you are telling yourself? WRITE IT DOWN in a journal.

Return to the meditative state and answer this question: What is the actual truth of your #1 lie? WRITE IT DOWN.

Return to the meditative state and answer this question: How can you move yourself to rely on that truth and not the lie? WRITE IT DOWN.

Return to the meditative state and answer this question: What are you committed to do this week to make the shift from your #1 lie to the truth? WRITE IT DOWN

Go follow through on your commitment.
