Episode 7: Stop Trying to Micromanage Your Slip Ups
When I started recording this episode, I intended to discuss (and hopefully uncover a solution to) finding balance between giving yourself grace and holding yourself accountable. I was looking for a formula to help me determine what percentage was good versus what percentage was bad.
In unfolding the conversation, I realized I was asking myself the wrong question altogether.
It’s tempting to try to control every aspect of our lives - even our mistakes. That illusion of control allows us to feel like everything is predictable and calculable and, inherently, safe.
But you know what’s even better than control? Adaptability. Now that, my friends, is the answer I didn’t know I needed.
