In our seventh episode we jump forward to 1989 with another Princess tale, but maybe not as classic as the original fairy tales. The Little Mermaid has a similar plot as those films, but her struggle is not being human, which is a unique predicament. Both Joel and Avery love the music of this film and were quite familiar with the songs. Joel shares the origins of the story and once again, it is much darker than the Disney version. We both struggle with the idea of two people falling in love without ever speaking to each other and we discuss the complications and plot holes of this story.
