Quinnipiac gets its name, land, and mascot from the Indigenous population the Quinnipiac. However, most of us (students, faculty, and staff) don’t know very much about this culture. Many argue this is an example of cultural appropriation, not appreciation. In this episode, we will explore what is known of the Quinnipiac people and what we can do to show real appreciate rather than exploit other cultures for our own gain.
