On May 31, 2014, two 12 year old girls, Morgan Geyser and Anissa Weier lured their friend Payton out to the woods in Waukesha, Wisconsin. Payton was stabbed 19 times and survived. Morgan and Anissa would later tell police that they had to kill Payton to become Slenderman's proxies. Slenderman is a fictional character started in 2009 that supposedly lures children. This a story about mental illness, friendship and survival.
