In this episode, I outline the accident that shortened my planned adventure, how my self reliance principles aided in my self extrication, as well as a gear review. Most importantly, I discuss the value of constantly using and evaluating your preparedness equipment, in order to ensure that when the chips are down, you are confident in what you have and your ability to use it. We need to fail, and fail often in order to understand our limitations and find growth through the acquisition of new skills.
