We start by recapping our recent trip back home to Wisconsin to visit family. There’s something, simply put, special about returning to where you came from, especially when you’re building a very different kind of life now. We talk about the joys of being back with loved ones, the slower moments that filled our cups, and the reflections that always seem to come from stepping away from daily routines.
From there, we shift into what’s ahead for our homestead. We share some of the projects we’re dreaming up, the plans taking shape, and how we’re trying to balance ambition with realism in this season. Whether it’s land, food, animals, or simply creating a more intentional home, we talk honestly about what excites us — and what feels a little daunting too.
We also spend time talking about how homeschooling has been going so far. What’s working, what’s been challenging, and how we’re learning to trust the process instead of chasing perfection. This part of the conversation is especially for anyone navigating alternative education, questioning the conventional path, or just trying to figure out what works best for their family.
This episode is less about having everything figured out and more about sharing where we are right now — learning as we go, adjusting when needed, and building a life that aligns with our values.
Thanks for being here with us!
