In the previous episode, we explored an important question: Was Jesus a real historical person?
Serious scholarship — including non-Christian sources — confirms that Jesus of Nazareth lived in first-century Judea, was crucified under Pontius Pilate, and sparked a movement that changed the world.
But that leads to a much more personal and uncomfortable question:
What did Jesus actually claim about Himself?
Many people today are comfortable describing Jesus as a great moral teacher, a wise rabbi, or an inspiring spiritual leader. But when we look carefully at the Gospels, Jesus did not leave us that option.
He made bold claims.
He claimed authority to forgive sins.
He accepted worship.
He claimed eternal existence.
He claimed a unique relationship with the Father.
And He declared that He alone is “the way, the truth, and the life.”
If those claims were false, everything collapses.
If they were true, everything changes.
In this episode, we examine Jesus’ own words and explore the question that has echoed throughout history:
Who do you say that He is?
Because Jesus does not leave us with the comfortable option of simply admiring Him.
His words force a decision.
