Yolanda Wanakamik is a wife and mother with a passion for inspiring youth to reach for their education goals. She believes that education is the foundation for success. Yolanda has an HBA in Political Science and is a Master of Education student at Lakehead University. She is a member of the Whitesand First Nation with a diverse experience in Indigenous governance and politics. Yolanda served her First Nation as a one of the youngest female Band Councillors. She serves her community through charitable work, promoting cultural humility, and storytelling.
