Diabetic foot ulcers are a common cause of diabetes, which has reached epidemic proportions here in the Bronx.  When not managed properly, these wounds can lead to amputations.  Dr. Ronald McLean, director of the Center for Wound Healing and Hyperbaric Medicine at SBH discusses the condition and the different options available.
