Pedestrian advocacy has been on Sara’s mind for some time now, and this week The Bike Nerds are joined by Noel Mickelberry, Executive Director of Oregon Walks. Noel shares her personal experience of becoming a pedestrian advocate serving the three-county region surrounding her home base in Portland, OR. Noel describes the unique challenge of getting people to identify as pedestrians alongside her community engagement efforts in some of the region’s most underserved areas.
