A certain recent variant cover controversy got us thinking about other variant cover controversies that have gone on to raise the blood pressure of some fans. Although these variants may not involve additions to the cover after they were printed, they did involve over-sexualized representations of characters or images of a traumatic situation. Join us as we discuss variant covers that were either pulled from shops due to fan outcry, cancelled completely, or altered before distribution.
