Welcome to The Matineecast’s 007 episode. In a way, it’s a little bit later than I wish it was, given that most of the SKYFALL excitement and discussion seems to have peaked with the North American premiere last weekend. However, it feels like one extra week of breathing room allows this episode a retrospective vibe.
Considering how I don’t know when or if there will be another 007-centric episode of this show, the fact that it is retrospective of both SKYFALL and the franchise on the whole suits me just fine.
One thing that might come through in the audio is a sense of familiarity. You see my guest today has been a dear family friend for nine years now, so hopefully you will forgive the odd drift towards our friendship and our individual spouses.
Oh, and at one point in the show you will actually hear me get distracted by an iconic moment in 007 history…be sure to listen for it.
