  • Rich Spotlight: Jon Rothstein
    • Stay Hungry, Stay Humble quote comes from an NBA coach he heard say at a press conference referring to a player’s potential
    • Has always been a sports junkie and remembers vividly when Christian Laettner and Duke beat UNLV and knew then he wanted a career in sports
    • Has always been an avid reader as a son of school teachers and eventually was able to have an article published in a local Gannett paper in high school
    • Attended Ithaca College and graduated in 3 years
    • Won the “Dream Job” contest in 2004 for ESPN Radio in NYC and thus began his career in sports media
    • Spent six years in sports talk radio before being offered a job with the MSG Network covering college basketball
    • Some of his most memorable interviews have been with Bobby Knight and with John Calipari during Kentucky’s National Championship season as well as Tommy Amaker now head coach at Harvard
    • Words of Wisdom from Jon Rothstein: “We never cross a goal line. We don’t arrive in life, we’re always becoming.”
