On Christmas Eve 1952 21 year old  Shirley Butler went to have a good night out with friends; Chinese food, beers and a cheeky kiss.  Shirley never returned home that night and the investigation that followed shined a light on her horrible upbringing and the way in which she tried to bring happiness in to her own life despite this.
