I Only Like Their Old Stuff

Episode 73: The Anniversary Episode

Listen Later

This podcast is three years old, and we’re a bit disappointed in ourselves for sticking with this.

Jho’s birthday was approaching when we recorded this episode, but has since passed. He spends a lot of time complaining about “hoopla” over birthdays. You can still tweet him a birthday wish @IOLTOS.
We inadvertently get into a discussion about tea vs. coffee.
Hype:

Jho – Getting taxes done early. He’s spending his tax return on the lottery. Discussion about that crazy lottery jackpot ensues. Jho tells us what he’d do if he won the lottery.
Groove – The new stand up comedy special trend that was started by Louis CK. Following in CK’s footsteps is Aziz Ansari and Jim Gaffigan. Joey talks again about how Nine Inch Nails and Radiohead were the ones who started that (IOLTOS).
Not Hype:

Jho – People that assume you agree with their social positions, religion, or politics.
Groove – This podcast isn’t showing up on iTunes anymore. If you’re listening to this episode, consider yourself a legit fan, because you’re on our shitty website.

Shamehype:
Jho - David Guetta and Nicki Minaj (“It’s big of me to admit that.”)
Groove – Promoting my guest post on TheWiseGuise.

What’chu Been Listening To:

Jho - Rhythms del Mundo, First Aid Kit
Groove - The Weeknd, Several podcasts – Doug Loves Movies, WTF, and Bullseye.
Groove is going to see Owen’s band, The Great Malarkey, this coming week. (As of recording the podcast. This is coming out much later – The Great Malarkey put on a fantastic show.)
Outtro: Alexander, Truth (from self-titled album, Alexander)
Thanks for three years.
