In our previous Episode (72), story teller Soren MennoHawk offered a re-telling of the infamous Jesus-story from Mark 10:17-31, where Jesus is asked by a rich man what he must do to gain eternal life. Soren - part preacher and part teacher in the tradition of Canada's indigenous people and full time follower of Jesus, the Waymaker - retold the story from an indigenous person's perspective.

Soren's re-telling got a lot of conversation going among Church Matters listeners - and we heard about it. In this episode we respond to the conversations we heard, and unpack some common impressions and stereotypes non-native Canadians have about Canada's First Nations people.
