The Princess Bride is a novel later adapted to a movie of the same name and written by the same writer, William Goldman. Although much of it follows a standard swashbuckling fairy tale, there's nothing standard about the zany, over-the-top characters or plot. Moreover, the book is so well written, it convinces the reader that this place called Florin might actually exist...
