I’m interrupting our regular programming to bring you important news.

Next week, I will bring you another interview. But today, I’m asking to have your ear for a few minutes to tell you something else. 

On any given day in the U.S., there are about 400,000 to 500,000 children in foster care. About a quarter of those children are eligible for adoption. This means that right now, there are about 100,000 children in this country whose parents’ rights have been terminated and they are waiting—hoping, praying, wishing—for someone to become their family.
