Genesis 2 zooms in. God kneels in the dirt, forms Adam with his hands, and breathes life into his nostrils. This episode explores the tension at the heart of being human: you are dust—fragile, temporary, dependent—and you are breath—animated by God himself, carrying something sacred. Forget the dust and you become arrogant. Forget the breath and you become despairing. The truth is both. Lowly and lifted. Fragile and filled. That’s what it means to be human.
