In episode eight, host Toby Tobias Kidd is joined by academic, artist, and writer Emily Rosamond. Emily's research focuses on social media, speculative logics of networked personhood, and financialization. Together, they explore the complex mediated public spheres of social media and the importance of understanding how volatile markets influence art-making and cultural production. Emily teaches at Goldsmiths, covering topics such as performance art, art theory, and digital publics. She also serves on the Advisory Board of
Distinktion: Journal of Social Theory and is an associate editor for the
Finance and Society journal.
