Today, we're chatting with Bret Michaels in a Flashback to 2013.

This was a ton of fun to listen to because I barely remember even interviewing Bret. That was during my really heavy drinking days, so it's good to hear this with a clear head, for once.

We got to talk about the first song he learned to play on guitar as a child. Can you guess what it was? Here's a hint, Skynyrd.

Speaking of his childhood, he even shared what it was like being a diabetic at that age and what he and his mom did for others like him.

At the time of this interview, he had just released a covers album titled "Jammin' with Friends", so you'll hear quite a bit about that and the inspiration behind the songs he chose.

We also agreed that physical albums are incredibly important as purchases because of all the extras you get with it.

Finally, we get to hear from Bret about his Life Rocks Foundation and his love of Pittsburgh professional sports.
