Today we are discussing an essential but non-core member of the interdisciplinary team (IDT), the HOSPICE AIDE. They are either CNA or CHHA by licensure.

Mission-Educate & Empower in three parts, helping listeners ‘SEE’ what’s needed to navigate the healthcare system.

1. Story (theme) The “nonverbal, disengaged” man lit up! Hospice Aides are the eyes and ears for the IDT.

2. Educate -Teaching point Hospice Aides are ESSENTIAL trained professionals for personal care. A good hospice includes them in the interdisciplinary team meeting.
