Her Excellency Ms Janice Charette is High Commissioner for Canada to the United Kingdom for Great Britain and Northern Ireland, and is the Permanent Representative of Canada to the International Maritime Organisation. 

She was the second woman in Canadian history to serve as Clerk of the Privy Council, the highest non-elected office in Canada. Two years ago she came here to London to become High Commissioner.
