Dame Helen is currently Chair of the Academy of Medical Royal Colleges and was Chair of the Royal College of General Practitioners (RCGP) from November 2016 to November 2019. Jane and Helen talk about Helen’s childhood growing up in south Wales, her decision to retrain in public health medicine, life as a leader and academic and maintaining a media profile.
