Author Chris Ferrie is a quantum physicist by day and father by night. His passion for communicating science has led from the most esoteric topics of mathematical physics to more recently writing children’s books. His published works include “Goodnight Lab,” “Baby University Explore Science Board Book Set,” “Quantum Bullsh*t: How to Ruin Your Life with Advice from Quantum Physics,” and his newest release, “42 Reasons to Hate the Universe (and one reason not to).”
Chris is an Associate Professor at the University of Technology Sydney and Centre for Quantum Software and Information. His research interests include quantum estimation and control, and the use of machine learning to solve statistical problems in quantum information science. He has a Ph.D. in Applied Mathematics from Institute for Quantum Computing and University of Waterloo.
