Episode #8 Quiet Kids V. The Bossy Kids

Listen Later

Though it's much easier for us to categorize our things to make them easier to find and to know how to approach certain things, people (especially kids) are not so easy to label.  Most are unpredictable and so many things are circumstantial and how we respond/react to situations and other people are dependent upon our exposure to things.
Quiet and bossy kids would translate to social scientists and psychologists as introverts and extraverts, but many who live in the day to day easily make assumptions and then label others according to what they see, without knowing the entire story.  #finaljudgment -which should be avoided at call costs, as we ourselves hate it no doubt.
It's important to look into though because things like school shootings and other public tragedies occur simply because needs are not being met.  Kids often don't know how to deal with their emotions and many can't even name how they are feeling.  Sadly many don't even feel safe to feel anything because their real feelings are in contradiction with the household narrative.
Join our discussion as we explore  our FOUR part series to dispel the myths of quiet/bossy kids at home and within school.  We will then break down each type on it's own episode and then conclude with different ways to help validate and challenge to bring out the best for their preferred style of interacting with the world.
