Episode 8 of Stories from the Sandpit features ex-Olympic gymnast, Sarah Mercer. Sarah speaks about her career as a gymnast and the impact sport can have on mental health. She has a gymnastics skill named after her: The Mercer; as well as a whole host of other accolades both inside and outside of the world of gymnastics.

Sarah does a lot of work with people of determination in the UAE and coached the Special Olympics team in 2019. A big lover of sunshine and a day at the beach, Sarah loves spending time with her two daughters and she discusses her passion for supporting women to achieve their dreams.
