Today we discuss the 1952 movie musical starring Gene Kelly, Debbie Reynolds, and Donald O'Connor. Being that this movie is practically the definition of "feel good", there isn't much to critique, other than the fact that the two nominations it received (Best Supporting Actress for Jean Hagen and Best Music, losing both) would have probably been our last choice. We also discuss the impact this movie has had on movie musicals for decades, and how we wish modern movie musicals would simplify their choices when it comes to dancing on film.
