The early days of science can definitely be described as the "wild west." In the case of this story, much of it indeed took place in the real wild west. This week we are beginning to talk about the "greatest scientific feud of the gilded age." Where two titans of their field set out in a race to make their names, and define what their field really meant.
This week I am joined by my friend, colleague, and fellow scientist Keith, and we dive into an incredible rivalry that defined early paleontology. Also there was dynamite involved... because of course there was.
