Episode 8 - Why We Sleep

Listen Later

If you knew that dementia and heart disease was linked to sleep, would you finally put more attention to getting quality sleep? If there's anything that has stopped me in my tracks and changed my life in that very instant I listened to and read something, it’s the book "Why We Sleep" by Matthew Walker. Matthew Walker is Professor of Neuroscience and Psychology at the University of California, Berkeley, and Founder and Director of the Center for Human Sleep Science and I am so appreciative that he came on Joe Rogans podcast and the 2 hours they talked was so profound that I went and read his book and even more WTF'ed me.

We all know sleep is important but I don’t think we understand how important it is until you listen to his interview as well as read the book. Hope you enjoy this episode as I discuss some of the key points of the importance of sleep from his book and his podcast interview.
