We Share These Streets

Episode 8: Willie

Listen Later

Athlete Willie Wragg is virtually unheard of nowadays but played a key role when Nottingham Forest won their first FA Cup in the Victorian era. A soccer journeyman, he went on to become a stage entertainer working alongside Charlie Chaplin and Stan Laurel in Fred Karno’s army.

We Share These Streets tells true tales of everyday folk in bygone Nottingham.
