Roughshod is a groove-heavy, alternative rock band from Richmond, Virginia. The group’s driving rhythm section, unique arrangements, and bold vocals create a sound that is as accessible as it is surprising. With songs in Spanish and English and off-center chordings, their songs fuse pieces of the band members’ varied backgrounds.

Having formed in 2021, Roughshod wrote the songs for their first EP, Attic Hours, at Austin’s house (guitar, vocals) while waiting for live music to return to the world. This imposed woodshedding led to the band’s tight-knit chemistry that draws fans to their high energy shows today.
