A deep friendship between scientist and High School teacher Ryland Grace and an alien resembling a smaller version of Galaxy Quest's rock monster, brings together friends from the LAMB to sing it's praises. "Project Hail Mary" based on a novel from the same author as "The Martian", Andy Weir, postulates a natural element as the source of Earth's demise, as well as significant parts of the universe. Ryan Gosling goes to space to look for solutions, and although it looks like he might be alone, the universe has other plans.
