In this two-part podcast from Watchman Fellowship, Senior Apologist Dr. Brady Blevins interviews a nationally-known speaker, author and apologist, Dr. Frank Turek. Brady and Frank discuss ten of the top objections being used by skeptics and atheists today against Christianity. In part one, they focus on the reliability of the Bible and on the effect Christianity has had on world history. Their conversation includes these 5 major objections to Christianity.

 

  1. Society is getting better, there are fewer wars going on around the world today per capita than ever before in history and we have made strides toward equality – This is evidence that we don’t need God to be good.
  2. There’s no way to know that the Bible really came from God. After all the writers could have simply made it all up.
  3. Men make mistakes; therefore, how can we trust the Bible because it was written by men?
  4. The books of the Bible were not decided until the council of Nicaea when they were mandated by the Emperor Constantine.
  5. There’s no evidence for God. Science has disproven God’s existence. Besides how can anybody know that God exists?

    6. Be sure to listen to part two next week when they unpack five additional objections to Christianity including some of the scientific problems. In addition, they will tackle a question about Critical Race Theory and the divisions spoken of in Galatians.
