Before George Reeves became an iconic Superman, gracing the silver screen and fighting for the rights of mole people, two serials were produced by Columbia pictures.
Today we look at the second serial, which originally ran as 15 weekly chapters before a feature film. Starring Kirk Alyn as Supes, we see Luther (Lyle Talbot) blackmail the city of Metropolis as he threatens to nuke the city with the help of Atom Man (who wears a glittery stormtrooper helmet before stormtroopers existed!).
