Krista sits for a second time with Gay Hendricks. Gay is a psychologist, author, and public speaker whose latest book, The Genius Zone: The Breakthrough Process to End Negative Thinking and Live in True Creativity, will be published in June. As a lifelong meditator, Gay knows that looking inwards, accepting the full spectrum of our emotions, and getting clear on what makes us happy can help us access our natural creativity. He believes that everyone has a spark of genius inside them: we just need to ask ourselves the right questions to bring it to the surface. Gay encourages listeners to dedicate more time to their creativity and suggests taking the time to sit quietly alone for ten minutes and think about what inspires them and what they most love to do. Although he has appeared on numerous TV shows, including Oprah, Gay thinks of himself as a writer who speaks rather than a speaker who writes. He describes how he likes to dedicate the first few hours of the morning to his writing and reveals how the Covid pandemic has motivated him to move more of his courses and seminars online.
