In the third episode in our #ramadan2022 special series on the Montessori Sensitive Periods, we focussed on language.

Dr Montessori identified the period from birth to six years as a critical time in the development of language.

During this IGLIVE session we explored:

* How language essentially conveys joy, the words of joy we use in a child’s life are more important than the words of correction.

*  From gurgling 😍 to swearing 😬 , how language develops during the early years from utero to age 6.

* how to enrich your child's language and communication learning experience, through the richness of vocabulary that you use.

* The misunderstood toddler years, how a lack of ability to verbalise is the main reason for tantrums and physical behaviour in toddlers.

* multilingual households.  One person, one language is the recommended approach to cultivate multilingualism.
