The Classical Academies Partnering With Parents

Episode 85: Mental Health Awareness

Listen Later

May is Mental Health Awareness Month. School counselors Alyssa Atkins and Chad Chandler discuss the positive and negative choices and behaviors that can impact our mental health. The risk factors that someone struggles with mental illness can include isolation, anger, worry, reckless behavior, grief, feeling out of control, substance abuse, exercising or dieting obsessively, or hurting others. The counselors share how being physically healthy is just as important as being mentally healthy, and there is no stigma in asking for help.
