Well, we're 85 episodes in, and we've gotten our tagline -- these people need therapy. This week we've read The Twelve Tribes of Hattie by Ayana Mathis. We meet Hattie as a young girl new to Philadelphia as part of the Great Migration, then we move on and catch glimpses of the lives of her many children throughout the 20th century. As is the case with so many characters we read, our biggest conclusion is that they'd all really benefit from a good therapist. Or twelve.
