Welcome to another episode of LIFE WORK BALANCES!
Today I sat down with AJa Holmes, who is a PhD student at Iowa State University. We got connected through a mutual friend, and it was great o hear Aja’s story and get to know someone that I hadn’t met before we set up time to do this interview. We talked about choosing a PhD program, research, “fit” coded language, leadership practices, goal setting, finding new opportunities. We also talked about shaping curricula, finding new way to impact the field of student affairs through course work, better understanding supervision, travel, books on tape, the World Cup, social justice, and a lot more!
