But he was pierced for our transgressions;
he was crushed for our iniquities;
upon him was the chastisement that brought us peace,
and with his wounds we are healed.

This passage is one of the most clear pictures of what Jesus went through on the cross. Today, I read a story of a Jewish teenager who was confronted with these words, and came to the only conclusion he could: Jesus is his Messiah.
