JP and Moderator Father Charles recount what it was like to grow up in sheltered households while watching TV that served as a window into the evil outside WOOORRRLLLDDD. Don't get us wrong, we weren't raised in compounds in Waco or anything, but the evangelical church did do their fair share of media-shunning that lead to a lot of blocked channels and clandestine viewings of Beavis & Butthead. But despite everything, we turned out pretty good! We talk about how media can effect one's worldview, and whether or not restrictions and limitations created a deeper appreciation for the arts.
