The world is full of popularity mongers - both in the country and the church! Man is by default an attention seeker. Christendom is filled with popularity craze people all over the world. This is not good for the body of Christ. Our Lord avoided popularity at every instance and taught His disicples to be service oriented and not status oriented. The born again Christians must walk after the Spirit with their new nature and give all glory to God without ever desiring to be popular in the evil world. We must have the mind of Christ who made Himself of no reputation. We should seek to be pious and not popular. We must desire to be faithful and not famous. May the Lord help us to be so. Amen. SDG.
