Are you so content and comfortable with your life here on earth that you don’t want Jesus to come? That’s often me, which is incredibly ironic because I consider myself a committed Christian. My hope and faith in God cannot be complete or enough for this life if I do not eagerly await His appearing.

We don’t want Jesus to come back because we don’t believe that eternal life will be better than the good, nice, and exciting things we hope to experience in this life. We don’t think the relationships in Heaven will be better and more meaningful than the ones we have now.

C.S. Lewis says every good thing on this earth is just a shadow of the TRUE thing God has made. The beauty we see and experience here on earth is only a broken form of how God intended for it to be.

Consider where your treasure is, and whether or not you trust God to make Heaven better than everything you have right now.
