Bensky Belizaire is a young entrepreneur and mutual fund employee from Brooklyn, New York. As a child he was ashamed of his Haitian roots due to constant misinformation from mainstream media, not knowing his cultures true history. As a young man he and his family took a 10 day trip back to Haiti where he ultimately describes the experience as life changing. When Bensky was a Junior in college he was selected to be a speaker for Ted Talk X, here he spoke on Haiti’s rich history, culture, and how the resiliency of his ancestors then, show themselves in him today.
